Assigning Reviewers

When the review process is enabled, Contributors and Admins can assign a specific user as the reviewer for a page. This triggers a notification to the assigned reviewer and records the assignment in the page's review history. Requires enableReviewProcess to be enabled.

How to assign a reviewer

Open a page in edit mode. In the Review panel (visible to Contributors and Admins when the review process is enabled), search for a user by username or full name and click Assign. The assigned reviewer receives an email notification.

Making a review decision

The assigned reviewer opens the page and makes a decision in the Review panel:

  • Approve — publishes the page and sets it to Active.
  • Request changes — keeps the page In Review with a comment for the editor.
  • Reject — moves the page back to Draft. A comment is mandatory.

Only the assigned reviewer or an Admin can submit a decision. Each review can only be decided once — a second decision attempt on an already-decided review is rejected.

Review history

All review decisions for a page are stored and can be viewed in the Review panel. The history shows the reviewer name, decision, comment, and date.
