Creating & Managing Folders
Files can be organised in a nested folder structure. Creating and managing folders requires the Contributor role or higher.
Creating a folder
Open the file manager and navigate to the location where you want the new folder. Click New folder, enter a name, and confirm. Folders can be nested to any depth.
Renaming a folder
Click the rename icon (pen) next to a folder name. Enter the new name and confirm. Renaming a folder does not affect any file links — file links are ID-based and independent of the folder structure.
Deleting a folder
Click the delete icon (bin) next to a folder. A folder can only be deleted if it contains no files that are currently referenced in page content. If any file inside the folder (or any of its sub-folders) is in use, the deletion is blocked and the folder name is shown in the error message. Remove or move those files first.
Folder breadcrumbs
The file manager shows a breadcrumb path at the top when you are inside a subfolder. Click any segment to navigate back up the folder hierarchy.
