Building the Keyword Index

The keyword index allows pages to be found by specific terms that may not appear in the page content itself — for example synonyms, abbreviations, or alternative names. Keywords are stored separately from the page content and are searched alongside the full-text index.

Adding keywords to a page

Open a page in the editor. In the Keywords field below the content editor, enter a comma-separated list of terms (e.g. invoice, billing, payment slip). Click Save. Keywords are saved with the page and indexed immediately.

The keyword index view

The keyword index is accessible via the Index tab in the sidebar. It shows an alphabetical list of all keywords, each linked to the pages that use them. Guests only see keywords from active pages; logged-in users see all pages.

Rebuilding the index

The index updates automatically when a page is saved. If you suspect the index is out of sync, it can be rebuilt manually using the Rebuild index button in the sidebar Index tab (logged-in users only).

Quality check

Pages without any keywords are flagged in the Dashboard quality report. Adding keywords to all pages improves findability.
