Browsing & Navigating Pages
The page tree in the left-hand sidebar is the primary way to navigate Guidevera. Each entry represents a page; entries with children show a folder icon that can be clicked to expand or collapse that branch.
Navigating to a page
Click any page title in the sidebar to open it in the content area. The active page is highlighted. If chapter numbering is enabled, numbers are shown in front of each title (e.g. 1.2.3 My Page).
Expanding and collapsing folders
Click the folder icon to the left of a page title to expand or collapse its children. Your open/closed state is saved automatically and restored the next time you log in.
Previous and next navigation
At the bottom of each page, Previous and Next links allow you to step through all active pages in tree order. This is useful for reading documentation sequentially.
Breadcrumbs
If breadcrumbs are enabled, a path is shown above the page title (e.g. Getting Started / Signing In & Out). Each segment is a clickable link. The root page is omitted from breadcrumbs when the navigation root is hidden.
Direct links
Every page has a permanent URL in the format /pages/{id}/Title. You can copy a direct link to the current page using the chain icon in the page toolbar. These links work for guests too.
