Read Acknowledgements

Read acknowledgements allow organisations to confirm that users have read and understood specific pages — for example, compliance policies or safety procedures. Requires enableAcknowledgements to be enabled. Requires a logged-in account.

Acknowledging a page

At the bottom of a page that requires acknowledgement, a banner is shown: "I have read and understood this page". Click the button to confirm. Your acknowledgement is recorded with a timestamp and the current language version of the page.

Language-specific acknowledgements

If translations are enabled, acknowledgements are tracked per language. Reading the English version and the German version counts as two separate acknowledgements.

Validity of acknowledgements

An acknowledgement is considered valid if it was confirmed after the page's last modification date. If a page is updated after a user acknowledged it, their acknowledgement is flagged as outdated in the report — they must re-acknowledge the updated version.

Acknowledgement report

Contributors and Admins can view who has acknowledged a page and whether their acknowledgement is still valid. The report is accessible from the editor panel on the page. It shows the user name, confirmation date, and validity status.

Enabling acknowledgements

Acknowledgements are controlled by enableAcknowledgements in config/app.php. See Application Settings.
